Stille Nacht (Silent Night)

This is the best Christmas song. When my kids were little I would stay up later than everyone in the family. I would have my own little quiet time before going to bed. I would always play this song last before going to bed. You can't feel more peaceful and serene than hearing this song.

I married a Christian. My kids were raised Christian. I go both ways this time of year.

I have the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CD. When this song is played on a nice stereo it will take your breath away.

As has been my habit for the past 23 years, I stay up late this night, wrapping presents and enjoying the quiet of the night......I got so tired of listening to the radio to the same "Holiday" songs, so I turned on tv in search of CHRISTMAS. PBS didn't disappoint. First with one beautiful choral show, and then Christmas from Belmont University--so exquisitely lovely, and then a show from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and know a stunning show from Bucknell--the bell choir. How can music be so meaningful?

I agree--the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CDs are my favorite. It just isn't Christmas without listening to them.
