Thank you! Shout out to Express GM, our very own hokieone (nice bragging rites) and pitching coach David Kopp.
RFFs son had a couple of teammates on the team. Players were from all different programs. The team was ranked one of the top 20 for collegiate leagues, not too shabby.
Back in April, when DK expressed interest in coaching a summer collegiate league, I wrote to Jay asking if David could contact him for advice. The rest is history.
Folks, don't ever question the power and scope of the HSBBW, it casts a very wide net.
And yes, baseball is a small world.
Tell your players to remember that!

DK did a wonderful job for us as our pitching coach, and has a very bright future in coaching. I was thoroughly impressed all summer as he met with the pitchers each evening and reviewed the hitters for the night's game-very detailed, very organized-good traits of successful coaches. Back to back titles is a tribute to a great coaching staff, a lot of good talent, and a supportive community. It takes a healthy dose of all three but when they come together, it's just way cool.
One of my son's friends played on the team. He plays for Vanderbilt and was very close to the player they lost prior to regionals. Was nice to see him have something positive to end the summer. I am sure he needed it.
