Strike 3

Two Questions:

(1) Strike 3, doesn't matter if the batter swung. Pitch was in the dirt and fielded cleanly by the catcher. No runner on 1st base. Is the batter out?

(2) Stike 3. Ball was barely foul tipped by the batter and caught by the catcher. Runner on 1st stole 2nd safely. Does he get to keep 2nd?

1. Not yet. Ball "in the dirt" means he has to be tagged or thrown out at first.
2. Yes. Caught foul tip is a live ball.

on number 2, the catcher shood throw down to first, and the runner will be out, cuz he caught it.

I don't understand your answer. In two, it's a foul tip because he caught it. The ball is live and the runner may attempt to advance. If he hadn't caught it it would just be a foul ball.

A foul tip isnot a foul ball. therefore U can advance. If U throw it to 1st base, the runner that stole 2nd on the foul tip may advance to 3rd.
So like U would not get the out. And if U arqued this with the Ump U could be siitin on the outside lookin in. If U no what eye mean. Dude.

Slappo,
The runner IS allowed to advance on a foul tip. A foul tip is not a foul ball.
From MLB official rules, The Runner 7.08:
Runners need not "tag up" on a foul tip. They may steal on a foul tip. If a so called tip is not caught, it becomes an ordinary foul. Runners then return to their bases

I think Slappo's a player, not an umpire. And now he's learned something new about foul tips, which is a good thing - Slappo, a caught foul tip is treated just like a strike where the ball was missed altogether according to the rules.
