Player 1 hitting in 9 hole has two plate appearances two K's coach puts in a pinch hitter for third at bat... one pitch was thrown to new batter but this batter was never reported as a sub by the coach or the player after the pitch is thrown coach calls time and tells umpire about the substitution. What should the ruling be?
They allowed the new player to hit and there was no penalty.
