Arsenal already had tryouts in February. Travel teams are done with tryouts. The best bet is looking for programs trying to fill B teams. Another to check is Big League 30 in Newtown, PA. There's LVBA in Allentown, PA. Jack Cust in Flemington, NJ. All-Star in West Chester and Hatboro, PA.
Another option is to go to ectb.org and fill out an online form for "looking for a team." ECTB teams are mostly from PA and NJ. Be careful of daddyball teams if it's not an organization. Ask questions. It's your best bet to get on a team.
RJM, Dont you think he should still contact the best teams out there including tri state arsenal. If he is a stud they would make room for him wouldnt they? Cant see any good team passing on new talent to the area if they are good enough. What do you think?
Arsenal goes through a fairly rigorous tryout period. They draw top talent. I can't imagine they would throw a committed player under the bus for a late comer. It can't hurt to call though.
I'm amazed how many kids don't have a team nailed down yet. When parents hear where my son is playing (competitor of Arsenal) they ask if I can get their kid on the team. Well, a hundred players were cut back in January. Why should someone walk on in the spring. Kids and parents need to be more on top of the situation. There's always Legion ball. It's not the end of the world. If the kid is a junior he can get on a good fall travel team for exposure.
TR, not sure if I'll see you tomorrow but Matt Jebb was at our house today and mentioned he was in Jupiter with you in 06'. He was hopeing to say hello in Hartford. Maine will play 2 Sunday and 2 Monday.
