hi Curve,
They changed the rule on Waivers. Waivers are NOT used anymore to play on Legion teams that are "Out-0f-District". Some of the Cook Cty Teams tried the Waiver last year but are only recognized in Cook County. If your team qualified for the State, that player was ineligible for the State & Nationals --or they have to add that players district into their numbers. Thus, no AL manager wants to deal with it anymore. You should still tryout for Your district team, they ALL need pitching because of the schedule.

FYI - the birthdate cutoffs have been changed too. MAny college freshman will be able to come back for another year.

Finally, there is a college summer league. I think it is the CISL in the NW Suburbs. Call a college coach and get more info.
