Does anyone know of any summer wood bat leagues or fall leagues in the areas around Roanoke to Staunton. Maybe as far as Christiansburg/Radford.

A thought...are there American Legion teams in your area? I think they may be only for high school students starting this summer. Someone will sure correct me if I am wrong.
I "think" this is the last year graduating seniors from 2014 can play Legion...but they have to play on the same team they were with last year -- assuming age requirements are met. But I am with you Keewart if I am wrong someone will pipe in

So sad to see the Legion program dying the way it is; goes to show if you don't change with the times you can get left behind.
Last year when my son played Legion as a graduated hs senior, he had several college players on his team. I now see how beneficial this was for those college freshman that don't get placed on a summer collegiate team or need to stay close to home for other reasons.
