I was hoping that a few of the veterans here can help me make a decision about this upcoming summer. I have a 2012 who is ranked in the top 150 by PG and is yet to committ to any university. This is a pretty important summer for him and I want to do whats best. Is it better to stay uncommitted to any summer team as the ones that we are considering do not attend all the tourneys or showcases that he would like to attend. Or to choose one and make what we can?

IMO you need to find a team that will allow your son some flexibility to attend some of the larger events. Your son needs a way to stay sharp somehow before going to specific showcases and tournaments.

I can think of a few teams in NJ that might be willing to accommodate what your son is looking to do. PM me if interested and we can talk on the side about them.

Is your son attending SelectFest and the Area Code Games tryouts? Additionally these are things you want your son at in our area.

Best of luck.
