This summer when I get board I need something to do. So I thought I would come on here and ask you guys for some tee drills I could do with some whiffle balls outside. ~Thanks
I’m sure you will get some good tee drills from the members here. In fact I have never heard of a bad tee drill. I would also recommend self tossing to supplement the tee drills you chose in order to incorporate some yes/no decision making.
Self toss drills 1. Never, swing at a bad toss 2. Try to hit 10 line drives (that would one hop the fence) in a row 3. Try to hit 5 home runs in a row to the opposite field 4. Always pretend/imagine you are in a real baseball game (but take a mulligan if you fail).
You may want to practice with a wood bat if you aren't doing that already...training yourself to hit with wood, which has about a 2 inch sweet spot, and then switching to aluminum (about 4-6 inch sweet spot) will increase the chance you'll hit the ball solid more consistently.
Awesome! Glad to help, just figured with all the bad information I was seeing online and in print, someone had to set the record semi-straight;-)
@trojan-skipper,
Glad you like the site too...I know how you feel about squish the bug, however, if it's a question of teaching a young hitter so they can wrap their head around the rotation concept, then it's a good tool...as long as they're rotating the foot is what matters, when they take their swing to the box, most likely the back foot will come up on the toe like it's suppose to.
Dang, I was hoping to be the first to point out how much I liked Swing Smarter's website! Oh well, that site was awesome and I can't believe the info is all free!! Thanks, Swing Smarter, you have a new fan.
Glad you like the site, and yes the information is all free...please spread the word to friends.
@BBdad5,
You really can't lose with automatic soft toss machines=-) Also, the Wheeler Dealer Spitter is pretty good also, and a little more pricey than the model you plugged in the above link.
