NATIONS BEST INDEPENDENCE DAY INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
The Central Florida Renegades and the Orlando Scorpions are proud to announce the dates of the Seventh Annual INDEPENDENCE DAY INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT for the 2004 Summer Season. This spectacular event for National Travel Teams in the 18-under age group will be held from June 29th through July 4th at beautiful Osceola County Stadium, Spring Training Home of the Houston Astros, in Kissimmee, Fla. near all the Central Florida attractions.
Last years event saw the Miami Thunderstorm take home the trophy over Southwest Florida Baseball.
All teams will be guaranteed (5) games with a potential to go on to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship games.
Showcase day for Pro Scouts and College Recruiters will be held all day on June 29th and will include the 60 yard dash, infield and outfield, and batting practice on the field for all players on all teams. Later in the afternoon there will be a Homerun Derby contest for one player per team. The Scouts and Recruiters will be there once again to evaluate the talent from all over the country at the five-field complex.
Hotel accommodations are right next to the stadium, and are clean, safe, and affordable. The price range for a room night will range from $45 - $65 with plenty of restaurants nearby. Don’t forget that Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World are within 20 minutes from the hotels.
