JT, Jr is playing in a wood bat league this summer and I wanted to get him some bats that are his own to use a gamers over the summer. He prefers the "Bonds" knob style for a counter-balance. My question is, what are some of the bat companies some of the parents have dealt with?
(If you've had a lousy experience and do not want to share, publically, please feel free to PM me.)

Thanks.

Buy a few. Mine used the team-supplied bats, which were fine, but also a couple maple bats that we bought. Both were busted within a week. Tell your son NOT to let pitchers taking BP use his bats-they're guaranteed to break them. Some summer teams make the pitchers use composite bats made of wood and concrete (well, maybe not concrete...).
Generally, you shouldn't let anyone use your wood bats for BP, pitchers or position players. I've seen too many bats broken by players who didn't own the bat to encourage anyone to allow their bats to be used by others.

SSK are excellent, also like Old Hickory. You might consider getting him a Brett Brothers bat for BP, I have a few of their composites for team bats, and they're very durable. The handle is fiberglass wrapped, so they don't break very easily.
