My son is 7 and plays baseball in a machine pitch league. The machine speed he is used to is 36 to 38 mph, and pitching distance is 42 feet. His team travelled to a tournament where the machine pitch speed was 34 mph and the pitching distance was 44 feet. He struck out twice and was way in front of the pitches. He finally dialed it in but was still in front hitting three ground ball singles and 1 ground out to the shortstop. The faster the ball comes the better my son hits. When I pitch to him between 36 and 40 mph he hits lights out, but you dip below that 36 threshold he struggles. Is there any drills out there that I can do to help him with patience. He needs to wait for the ball to get to him. Sometimes he struggles with that even when the ball is 36 mph. Thanks for the help
