Super Pro 60 Showcase

What is it and where is at?

This is an invite only showcase sponsored by PBR(I think). I heard there are several pro scouts in attendance. It is run at Duncan's place up north.

I will be bringing up Tanner Bushue and Lucas Hileman.

Hey SI is Lucas the LHP that was at the Plainfield showcase last summer?

Lucas is an OF. Signed with Baylor. He didnt go to Plainfield last year but was at the Area Code tryouts up there.

Coach, which lefty is lovethegame talking about? I can't remember a lefty on that team. But then again, I can't remember what I did yesterday either.

As a more productive addition to this topic, Eureka SS Jerrod Eigsti will be in attendance as well.

Any updates on players attending this week??

Just found out that Limestone's Ryan Camp will be in attendance this week as well.

Ryan was consistently touching 88 on the second weekend of the Cangelosi Camp two weeks ago.

Are the kids that are going to this 08s or 09s and how are they identified as invitees? I ask this from a parents perspective of a parent of a player who has been putting the work and succeeding in his given class. Now that he has "graduated" to the varsity level, we both understand that any "exposure" begins there. But if I need to have him to take him a lesson here or a camp there in order to prompt some additional interest then that may have to be part of the process. I would think that as the season unfolds we are all going to hear about some kids that came out "nowhere". Kind of like that saying that it took 10 years to be an overnite success.

Mostly 08's and 09's. A few 10's.

What makes it Super?

I'm planning on being there provided I can get the day off of work.

...But my appearance definately does not make it Super, or remotely close. Sorry I couldn't help out on that.
