HS game goes 4 complete is rained out and umpire tells coaches we will resume from this point and complete tomorrow. The next day the game is resumed and completed.
Is the game official or must it be replayed from the start?

That is a state by state adoption. Most states pick up where it left off so they probably did it right.
Would you know how Va. does it? Because the game supposedly hes to be replayed.

you should email someone at the Virginia high school athletics governing body. they are the one in charge of setting rules like that. it sounds to me like you had a lead at the end of 4 complete and you don't want to have to give that up by restarting.
We had the lead and when we resumed we won the game. The umps said it would be resumed -- we did. Another coach in the league called the local association and apparently got it changed. His team was even in contention.
