My boys have had theirs since Christmas and so far it has been a good tool. You get in a lot of swings without having to pick up balls all the time. We are noticing some issues with durability as far as the cords go; wear and tear where they contact the eyelets. Also the ball sits a bit close to the hitting screen so my oldest subconsciously limiting his arm extension; he has put a couple dents in the frame. Either I set it up wrong or this is an issue for others? It is the Pro XXL model.

Don't know about the swingaway . My son had one very similar endorsed by Tony Gwynn, basically the poor mans version. But it proved to be a great tool to get in swings and lock in his swing.Had same issue with cords and balls. You just have to keep spares on hand. My son used his extensively through all 4 years of high school and one year of JC before it fell apart. I think they are great.

My son has one.  It is a great tool.  The only problem I have found is not truly with the product.  My son will swing and practice real fast and he will pick up bad habits becuase he goes too fast.  I chalk it up to his age - 10.  So I use a tee that he hits off of into a blanket.  It makes him stop and reset in between each swing.  The swingaway will probably work better for him as he gets older and gets more serious - if that happens.
