Switch Pitcher

I saw one today on TV in a college game. Off the mound in the same inning depending on the batter the kid threw Right handed, and Left handed. Sorry i dont know the team, but i figure its so rare that people who know of him can tell...

The first i ever saw. Its quite amazing

We had a kid here in high school a few years ago who threw 84-87 lefty and hit 90 righty. I don't know what school he ended up in but he was impressive. I believe he was drafted late and opted for college.

I was told that Major League rules prohibit a pitcher from switching arms within an inning. Doubt that HS rules address such an arcane situation.

Anyone know?

Pretty sure HS rules prohibit switching arms within an at bat (not that I've ever had to be concerned with this rule).

a batter can't go from right to lefty in the same AB, however if a pitcher is changed in the middle im sure this is an exception
