Saturday night I took my wife and youngest son to see the movie The Pursuit of Happiness. It is based on a true story for those of you that have not yet seen it. It touched my wife and I but more importantly it made a big impression on my son. I would highly recommend taking your children to see it. An absolute awesome story of never giving up regardless of the obstacles in your way.

One of the best movies I've ever seen. Can't remember the last movie I went to where some in the crowd were crying and others clapped loudly at the very moving conclusion.
As good of an inspirational story as you'll ever see or read about.
The character took "whatever it takes" to another level and the movie should garner an Oscar for Will Smith & his son for a fantastic combined effort.
I had so many emotions during this movie. I was in the YES you got to fight and overcome and never give up mode. Then I was in the THANK GOD for everything I have , how could I ever complain about anything? Then I was in the emotional roller coaster of intense joy for him and sadness at the same time. The kind of movie that makes you think , makes you thankfull and makes you want to hug your family.
About "We are Marshall"....

My senior nephew won a Rivals.com/Warner Bros. scholarship contest for Scholar/Athletes and he and his parents were flown to Hollywood (along with 5 other lucky winners from across the country) to attend the premiere of "We are Marshall" last week. Yes, they got to meet Matthew McConaughey and get their picture taken with him. They said he was very friendly. The scholarship winners got to walk the red carpet at the Mann's Chinese Theater!

They also got to meet the Marshall coaches that were there and got to spend time with the wife of the Marshall coach who took over after the plane crash. My sister-in-law asked this 70 + woman how she felt about the movie - her comment "Honey, anytime Matthew McConaughey plays your husband - it is a good thing!" They loved the movie!

The PR person that was assigned to the Rival.com winners told them that it was highly unusual for contests like this for the movie stars to meet the contest winners.
