My son is taking a break from Ball, after graduating High School. He will be training to get stronger because coaches have told him that is the weak point. He was good in high School, in a bad program, No accolades because he refused ti K=== A===. He want to play still and trying to contact JuCo's seems to be the best bet. Good Grades as a senior and also at Community college.
Any thoughts as to where to go from here. We are in Virginia.

Hey baseballislifeforsure...

Welcome aboard!

Getting recruited out of HS is an important stepping stone to continue playing at any collegiate level. If your son has not been in contact with JUCO's in your area by now, it is probably very important for him to find a summer team that will get him the opportunity to perform in front of recruiters. Taking a break does not seem to be conducive to playing baseball at the next level.

A PG Showcase, maybe a regional one. Contact the JUCO's in your area to see if they are scheduling any showcases.

Getting stronger faster bigger can be accomplished while playing the game. I believe it is important to do both if you wish to continue play.

Here is a link to some Florida JUCO Showcases:

Depending on his birthday, he may want to try out for an American Legion summer team, but you need to try out for the one in your area/hs school district. I understand that scouts from colleges do show up to some games, although they may be from more local schools. Also, there are a few community colleges in Virginia that have baseball teams.
