I've never seen this gallery feature before. That's pretty cool. Glad to see your pictures. What team is he on and did he play 14u at Battle in the South?

Thanks, glad you like them.

Yes, he played 14u for the Virginia Mavericks.
I watched your son's team play parts of two games in the Super NIT. I saw part of the pounding they put on the Central Jersey Panthers and part of Keystone Nationals game. I was curious from discussing 14U with another poster (this site and another) named Golfball.

If you were near the backstop of the Panthers game we may have chatted. I was BSing and joking with some of the parents. I was wearing a black BA hat.

Talk about two teams that came out of a tournament shaking their heads (your son's and mine). That tournament was there for the taking. No one played that great. Our son's teams played, err, much less than great, or should I say below their capabilities.

I'm curious. Your profile says you're from PA yet your son plays for the Mavericks.

Yes, I may remember you. Alot of our teams parents were sitting over there. I can't say for sure as Im one of those dads that wears out a pair of shoes in a game.

Well if you saw part of the Nationals game you saw him pitch for a short time. Just did'nt have good stuff that day. No excuses, some days you do, some you dont. Sunday started 3 innings no hit 4 k.

I agree shaking our heads after that. Not our best for sure.

As far as playing for them. Where we live our season is short, and thanks to this site after I explained his situation he got the opportunity to play. Its great that people are willing to reach out to let a kid keep on playing.
