One of my teammates toldd me that taking the bat grip off of your bat and just adding a thin layer of tape increases bat cintrol and bat speed. Is this true?

Aww come on. First off this isn't junk .... these are respected opinions. You are allowed to disagree. I think the vast majority of parents ARE tying to make a "Babe Ruth" out of their 145 lb. kid. I tried and failed but he did have a great college experience and played 3 years of pro ball..... AND he was probably about 30 lbs when I started and if I remember right I taped the handle on his "T" ball bat. So, what's the problem with that?
