There hasn't been any mention of private school playoffs which started this weekend.

Bishop Lynch defeated Houston Christian in a three game series.

Game one was won by Bishop Lynch in 9 innings, 4-3, with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th by Nick Robinson. Andy Alig picked up the win in relief. Treu had the loss.

Game two was won by Houston Christian in a run-ruled five inning game, 15-2. Cecil had the win. Del Baker had the loss.

Game three was won by Bishop Lynch 3-0 in what was a great pitchers' duel that was 0-0 until the bottom of the sixth when BL scored three runs. Andy Alig had the complete game shutout with 12 strikeouts. Mitchell Traver took the loss.

I wanted to give a shout out to the Parish Episcopal Panthers for winning 2 games on Saturday against a very good Arlington Grace Prep team.

I dont have all the details of all 3 games, but P. Dax Powell and his staff are doing a great job with the Panthers.

On to the next round PES!

Jose Trevino hit his 25th homerun of the season, tying the Texas state homerun record. He was also on the mound and pitched his second perfect game of the season striking out 13 of 15 in a 5 inning game.

WP: Chad Nack
LP: Sepulveda

Cory Dodd paced Liberty with 2 doubles and a HR and Nack helped his cause with a HR of his own.

Bishop Lynch defeated Victoria St Joseph 5-2 in Regionals on Friday in a one game playoff in Victoria.

Cole Rolle HR, Lucas Weardon 2 2B, Lucas Stephens 2B, Jacob Foitek 2B

Andy Alig got the win with five shutout innings.
Luke Stephens with the save.

Bishop Lynch will face Houston St Pius in the semi-finals Thursday in Waco.

Congrats to Bishop Lynch for beating Houston St. Pius X 1-0...advance to the state championship 5a TAPPS to play Houston St. Thomas who beat Liberty Christian 4-3.

Bishop Lynch pulled off another upset, beating Houston St Pius, 1-0.

Left fielder Lucas Weardon had the play of the game in the bottom of the first inning, throwing out a runner at the plate for the third out.
Lucas Weardon also scored the only run of the game on a wild pitch with two outs in the third inning.

Andy Alig had the complete game, six hit shutout with four K's and one walk. Alig finishes the playoffs 4-0 with 20 2/3 shutout innings.
