This is how it works.

1. Each August, The TCL gets calls from D1 coaches from around the country with player recommendations and a "list" is made of the players.

2. The 9 teams find out around the first of september who is coming back and who is not.

3. Lets say McKinney has 10 guys coming back, so that leaves me with 15 spots. I have to wait til "the list" comes out in mid sept and fill the team with the guys that the D1 coaches recommended. it is first come, first serve on who gets what.

4. I believe each team is currently full with 24-25 guys

5. There is a TCL tryout that is scheduled for either june 1 or 2 in mckinney. some full time and 10 day contracts are given at the tryout.

6. check the tcl website at www.texascollegiateleague in about 7 days and it will have the tryout notice.

7. PARENTS- DO NOT CALL THE LEAGUE OFFICE AND OFFER YOUR KID TO THE LEAGUE. Your call or email will be deleted. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR KID's COACH make the recommendation.

I hope this helps! I have no problem answering questions about the TCL...Fire away!
