Just completed the MCYSA/USSSA 15U Summer International Championship in Crystal Lake, IL.
Japan knocked off Puerto Rico All-Stars 8 - 5 to win their first title ever in their 15 years of coming here. Tennessee Raptors 3rd and Laredo, TX Flames 4th.
Deepest, most diverse and most competitive 15U we have ever had here in CL in the 17 years of the event.
Already have committments from Japan, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Panama, the Dominican Republic, the Russian National team and New Zealand for 2010. Also will be bringing in a team from Vietnam in 2010 and we are working with Italy, the Dutch Antilles and hope to land Mexico and Sri Lanka.
2010 dates for the tournament are July 23 - August 1.
14 International teams - 46 15U teams - 175 volunteers - 374 games - 2040 baseballs - 26,500 paper cups (for water in the dugouts) - 1 MCYSA 15U Summer (VERY)International Champion - Priceless!!!
