I saw bits and pieces of the Team One / Baseball Factory "Cape Cod Classic" on ESPNU the other day. But I didn't see the begining so I wasn't sure how the teams were chosen, if it's only those 2 teams involved, etc. Any HSBBW members represented there?

They choose who they consider to be the best 36 players with a break down by position who attend their showcases.

The game itself was rather sloppy with seven errors, little hitting, wild pitches, passed balls.

Not quite the stellar exhibition I expected.

Its high school baseball. It gets sloppy sometimes. It gets a bit sloppy after high school also.

I thought it was just me. I was not impressed by the showcase of talent at this event. I was thinking how good the pitching must be. Then I took a step back and realized the talent wasn't that good. I give a thumbs down on this particular showcase game.

It did seem rather sloppy and I was surprised. But for what it's worth, they do make mistakes at that level and beyond, and it makes it easier to take the things my son does at 13 in stride.
