Need some advice, I received an invitation to attend the Team One Texas showcase on the 14th of August. But, I haven't heard much about the Team One events do they attract coaches? My dad had said if I want to attend he'd be more that happy to drive me down. You see we live in Louisiana and it's about 6 hours from Houston, plus the money he'd have to put out. I just want to make sure it will be worth the trip to get some exposure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hiyaz Bob Pincus aka Florida Baseball Guy,
First - let me start by saying that Good weather makes for a good event. I have been having an incredibly difficult time getting results (60 times - home to first - velocities) from Baseball Factory for my brother Diego Seastrunk. Calling people is neat but - If its possible could I get an email from you - or any Baseball Factory Staff with Diegos Information which would include only the following:

60 time:
Home to first (best):
Outfield Velocity (best):
Infield Velocity (best):

Pitching (best FB) Velocity
Pitching (working FB) Velocity
Pitching (working CB) Velocity
Pitching (worcking CU) Velocity

Any or all of this information would be greatly appreciated. It is extremely difficult to find any information or rankings on any underclassmen TeamOneBB.com. Are their events geared more toward seniors?

Brushback: FYI
Team One does not rank the underclassmen as they will concentrate on the 2005 class in their rankings.
My kid attended one of their regional showcases as a rising junior last summer.
He received a ton of interest and letters from colleges from that one event. It was excellent exposure for him and definitely worth the money spent.
This year the kid attended the Team One Texas and as always a very well run showcase.
Keep in mind that the guys at Team One work their rear ends off and they are just coming off their busy busy showcase season and are in the process of thoughtfully evaluating a ton of players.
Evaluations usually take place in the fall and again concentrated on the current senior hs class.
They will always get back to you but it can take time because they are busy as heck. Like 20 hour days busy. So be patient. Players are not ranked until their senior year and that's good because a lot changes in a year with these young players. If your brother is good he'll see some letters in the fall and winter.
Hope that helps. Team One is a great organization and they are very dedicated. IMHO
