As is the case every year, AZ gets slighted when it comes to recognizing our top baseball talent. There are several kids that I feel are worthy of such an honor. I am figuring that Team One picked this group from there own showcase. As we all know
most of our talent either was not invited or chose not attend. JJ is a fine ballplayer. To say that he is the #140 ranked player in america might be a stretch. I have him in the top 10-15 in the state. As far as position players are concerned he is top five.I feel there are many players out there with a much higher ceiling.He is a very heady player and understands the game very well.Who were the other two players? My guess would be Garcia ( Sunnyside) Miaso (Chaparral). I don't think either attended the team One showcase.

Devils1...I agree with your assessment of JJ. He's a very good player who has a great feel for the game and is fundamentally very sound. I'm sure the selections are slanted to the Team One kids in a big way. Garcia was also listed but the third name was Scott Mueller from Greenway. IMO Miaso should be a no brainer but he didn't make the list.

2 Colorado kids on the list. Drew Bowman LHP #14 (Dakota Ridge) and Luke French LHP #132 (Heritage). 2 other kids I think Team One and PG are missing on are Mike Koons (RHP - Douglas County) and Jake Opitz left-handed hitting SS from Heritage.

Also Bowman did not attend any Team One Showcase.

JJ Sferra is ranked #148 by Perfect Game, so T1 and PG are pretty close in their rankings. I've seen him play and I think he's pretty good, but I don't know if these rankings are legit.

T1 West Showcase was in Tempe this year, so there's not much excuse for Arizona players not being there and showing there stuff.

This may be a little out of state but there are 2 real gems throwing in the midwest. Brian Schlitter,{Maine South, Park Ridge Ill} RHP, 6'-5" 200lbs topping out at 91, and Matt Jerstand, {Oswego H.S.} 6'- 2" 225, great control. They will be playing for Illinios Express out of Napperville Ill.
