Coach Knight
Had a really good veteran team back in 04.. We had what looked like a road sign on the back of our practice tee's with Austin-41 on the back. Was how far to Disch Faulk field from ours.. We ended upo making it to the tournament..Was great motivation.
My favorite baseball line is from my alltime favorite player Peter Edward Rose.
"I'd walk through hell in a gasoline suit to play baseball."
I had the great fortune to meet Pete one day and had him sign that quote for me. It hangs in our dugout.

There is no "I" in TEAM but there is in

on the shirt I saw the "I" were in Red print and
everything else in black print.

Guys, these are practice jerseys, not game jerseys. And these are 13 year olds, not older HS kids. What harm could a slogan on a practice Tee cause? Sheesh!
THat said, I like the slogans that are ispirational for practice tees rather than those that sound like bragging or bashing. Your game oughta speak for itself.

Does anyone know where you can get shirts with messages like these? I dont wanna have a bunch printed, just one for me. Thanks
My problem with sayings is that they promote a cockiness, and not necessarily a good cockiness. I love it when a catcher has a "you run, I gun" type shirt on and then he can't reach 2nd base, or the opposition runs all over him.
The attitude is displayed on the field, with approach, preparation, communication and execution. No saying will positively affect a players ability if they aren't prepared and don't execute. Teaching them to have fun while preparing is also very important IMO.
The sayings are just another part of everyday loud self promotion that we so often see displayed today. We used to say "all talk, no action". Leave it all on the field, wear a smile and a shirt that fits comfortably.

"Let It Fly"
no excuses, no explanation, no complaining, just execute.
take care of the little things and the big things will take care of itself
success is never cheap you always have to pay full price
the only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little extra

My new favorites:
Good is the enemy of Great.
If you are content to be good, you will never be great.
The game does not build character, the game reveals character.--too long, but a good one.
And for the trash talkers:
Grab a straw, cuz you suck.--too funny!!!
