Another interesting mention for each stadium would be avg attendance. Looking forward to the next venue.

ps...good chance Chad Holbrook from USC will be the next TN coach.

WinBuc44 that would surprise me. First of all Chad moved to SC because his wifes family is from Columbia and are helping him look after his sick child. Secondly the SC job is his when Coach Tanner calls it quits.

I am hearing that Assoc HC Scott Forbes UNC has the job if he wants it. Coach Holbrook would be a great hire but it would really surprise me if he left Columbia to take it. Forbes would be a great hire as well. We shall see what happens.

I understand the area connections but unless they formalize the 'coach in waiting' designation and up his pay he remains one of the top candidates for open HC jobs not just in the SE but the country.

No doubt about that. I dont know about his pay I do know he got a substantial raise to go to SC. He would be a great hire for Tenn.

I'm with Coach May. I can't see CH leaving COlumbia, giuven his personal situation.

However, I CAN see SF taking that job (and being VERY successful).

Also im hearing a lot of talk about the vols wanting Cal State Fullerton coach. Dave Serrano. He was assistant there.

Chris Burke former player is a fan favorite but not alot of coaching experience

When the University of Tennessee hired Todd Raleigh four years ago Dave Serrano had just taken UCI to the College World Series. After Dave Serrano said that he would crawl to Knoxville for the job, athletic director Mike Hamilton responded that he would not hire Serrano because he did not like the institution that Dave Serrano received his degree from. Hamilton felt that it was a mail order degree. It sounds like Hamilton is now back tracking and trying to save his own job by hiring a great baseball coach.

Hamilton needs to have a solid hire.

I cant imagine him having a job in two years. If either baseball,football(esp football), or basketball hires dont equal wins.

Don't count Holbrook out. Word is, he has an interview set up. Of all the stated reasons why he will not accept the job there are 450,000 and possibly more reasons why he would.
