Chris,
Once the draft is over why don't you go through the scouting videos and give us 10 guys from this year's crop who you think will have arm problems and 10 who you think are less likely to. More would be better but that would take a lot of time.

We can then wait and see how their arms hold up and in the meantime we can all argue about it for 2 or 3 years until some of them start breaking down.

Might be fun.

Give me some time, but here's a start.

In terms of guys who I think will be more durable than average...

- David Price
- David Kopp

In terms of guys whose durability I question...

- Joe Savery (Inverted W).
- Cole St. Clair (Inverted W).
- Tim Alderson (Chris Carpenter/BJ Ryan arm action).

Some will complain that Savery and St. Clair aren't fair picks because they already have had shoulder problems. Of course, I would argue that those problems are due to their problematic mechanics.

In fact, I think that one reason that my friend is interested in what I have to say is that I expressed concern about St. Clair and Savery back in January or February when he first showed them to me. They then had shoulder problems this year.

More to follow.
Chris,
Picking guys with existing problems would slant it a bit too much. All you have to do is look at the full scouting report from the draft tracker and it will have healthy or something indicating issues. If it has healthy then that's probably good enough.

The ideal would be to pick a bunch of guys who are pretty much unknowns so that there's no room for bias one way or the other. On the other hand you don't want to go too late in the draft because some of those guys won't get as much of an opportunity to stick around.
