I don't know about the size of the school. I live about 2 1/2 hours from Texarkana and can tell you from my limited time there that it is a smaller town. Population is probably about 30-40 thousand combined between the Arkansas and Texas sides (the boarder divides Texarkana, TX from Texarkana, AR). Again, with limited knowledge, I don't know if there is much that would interest a 18-19 year old other than top notch baseball. The baseball program fantastic. Drafted players and major DI signees are prevelent each year.

Head coach Bolt is considered a good propect as a D1 coach some day. From what I am told his asst. coaches are also very good. Ties to Neb.,Mizzou, Arkansas, and some other Texas schools. In my mind this would be a great opportunity for a kid with aspirations to go to the next level.A good teaching program for kids who also want to play Pro ball.
Texarkana has a great sense of community and is behind their teams. The city is growing and has plenty of restaurants to choose from.
