About our Club...
Texas Velocity is a baseball club in North Texas, for players born in 1997 and 1998. Our focus is to prepare young baseball players for the next level of play in high school and college baseball.
The club principles are built around discipline, respect and effort. While winning at all costs is not emphasized, we do not play to lose. We do believe, however, that if we do the right things, we will win more than we will lose. The club and its coaching staff also work to instill values that help boys become respectful and hard-working young men. The club also attempts to do some community service activities during the season.
Velocity practice sessions are intense and high energy sessions, with a focus on getting as many ball touches as possible during on-field practice. It is not uncommon for each player to touch the ball between 300 and 500 times per practice, in different drills and game situations. The fundamentals of the game are always emphasized and practiced.
