I attended, played, and graduated (1997) from Northwood University.

Enjoyed all 3 years I played there under Coach Malcheski (now AD) who I have more respect for than any other man besides my father.

I personally think the yard is one of the most scenic college fields around. When I was there the whole team kept it up and the playing surface was great.

It is a very small school nestled in the wooded hills by Joe Pool Lake.

If your looking for a business degree and a small school atmosphere close to DFW, it is just that.

I don't know the coaches there now well enough to comment.

I also went to school and played baseball for 4 years at Northwood. I graduated in 2004.

Kennedy and Garza are both really good guys and it seems like they are starting to get more and more kids to buy in out there. Last year they won the conference tournament with a team that didn't really seem to be in the mix during the regular season, but put it all together when it counted.

Ill concur with Guthrie about the field, its amazing. Honestly, that is what sold me. I visited during the Fall of my senior year and loved the place.

The facilities at the school continue to get better. It seems like something else is being built everytime I get out there.

I chose to go to Northwood because it was a small school, close to home, and I wanted to get a business degree.
Back in the 70's and 80's (recieved a full ride in 78) Wesleyan was a baseball factory. Played every SW conference team and won its share as well as NAIA births year in year out, 4-6 players drafted my Fresh Year. U of H and Now Strength Coach For Atlanta Braves Frank Fultz was head coach then. He was ahead of his time. He followed Coach Smith who became a full time Reds Scout.... I believe a Former Ranger Player is now Head coach there...Know the play at the Cats stadium now.. back then it was Sycamore park.. a great ball park in its day..
1989 grad of Texas Wesleyan. Loved it there. Brad Bass was my coach and he is now at Wayland Baptist. We played in the old Sycamore Park near the golf course. Great nostalgia and home field advantange. Good school too. They have a law school there now and the business school is first rate.

Mike Jeffcoat and Rusty Greer are the coaches.

Wayland is another great NAIA program. Brad Bass does an outstanding job with the kids there.
