I would like to say a public thank you to the folks at Qwik Trip Park and The Grand Prairie Airhogs for helping make a senior night happen for the boys at Little Elm. Last week we found cracks in the light poles at the Little Elm baseball field.(much like what you have seen on the news about southlake and rough rider park). With only one home district game left.
This is where the Airhogs stepped in and helped. They helped by opening their field for the game between Little Elm and WF Rider. They even allowed use of the jumbotron on the scoreboard. Every senior was honored on the jumbotron as they walked mom and dad to home plate. During the game, they allowed use of the sound system at the park for the school's announcers and had player stats and pics on the jumbotron. The game was well played under the lights and at the end of the night they even allowed the boys to hang around and take pictures and just hangout with friends and family to celebrate their HS careers.
What a great thing the Airhogs did for these young men. What looked to be a disaster of playing at a competitors field for senior night became a great evening at an amazing facility.
THANK YOU AIRHOGS!!! I'll be there this Summer. You guys are first class.
BTW Little Elm won 4-1 over WF Rider.
