My son committed over the weekend and couldn't be more excited.
I began frequenting this site about a year ago as the interest in him began building. The resources here have been tremendous and have helped us understand the recruiting process, look for the right things, ask the right questions and make an informed decision. We were extremely fortunate to have several great options, which is a good problem, but also made for a difficult decision for him. That said, when he found the right fit, he knew it, and because his mom and I had been doing a ton of research in the background, based on much of what we learned here, we were comfortable that he had a great offer and place to go.
Also, while I know that there's a lot of banter on other threads about the value PG plays in the process, I can say with certainty that my son participating in their events certainly helped with the offer that he landed. Not opening this to a debate, but I definitely wanted to openly thank Jerry on this post for what PG did for the process for my son.
To all who have been there and done that, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us new to the process to help guide and ease minds.
