It was tough. I know for some the issue is really simple. But when you are recruited by D1, D2, D3 and JUCO your heads swims with whats the best thing.
For us D1 was possible but likely not going to play as freshman, fighting for innings, I just did not think it was worth it.
D2 the schools were offering good percentages, but when you start out at 30k plus having 4 sons, 3 will be in college at the same time, money was a factor.
The D3 was just too much academically.
The JUCO was an hour away, good coach, great program, feels 2014 will be impact player, weekend starter as freshman, good facilities , physical therapist , trainers. Unbelievable community support, its nice to get up and go to practice everyday knowing your wanted.
Also the athletic, academic and state money, make my cost very, very little.....
I can see both sons play JUCO ball and watch the other two play HS ball....and then after two years of JUCO..... we see what happens....
I know 2014 will take a class this summer to help offset the load next fall.
Relieved !!!
