This is now called the Campbell award.
Bill Campbell is the Chairperson of the Board at Columbia, where he was also the captain of their last Ivy Championship football team.
Bill coached football at Columbia and is now considered the "Coach" of Silicon Valley.
He is one of the great business people in the world and is now on the Board of Apple and is Chairman of the Board at Intuit.
Better yet, he is a champion of young people in their pursuit of excellence in business and sports. Earlier this year I watched and listened as he truly mesmerized and captured an audience at Carnegie Mellon.
He is unbelievable in his knowledge of business, sports and with his generosity in providing leadership, guidance and mentoring in each.
For anyone who believes in leadership as "the" intangible to motivate and succeed, Bill has IT.
Tonight, at 6pm PST/9pm EST, he will give a rare glimpse into his world where sports intersect with business. This will be an interview with Ted Robinson.
These are two who I am very lucky to call very good friends.
