This was all borne out of demand. Talented players were calling us and we want to help them without hurting our current group of talented players. To make 2 rosters out of that talent would have left out some very good players.

We have teams from 2012-2015. Each will play a regionalized schedule with all teams going to the WWB events.

North and South stay as is, with the same staff and players. The North is a VA-based team (plus a pitcher from MA and 1 from MD). The South is comprised of kids from NC and SC.

Jamie Evans has been on our staff for a couple of years working with our pitchers. He will now team with Dan Gitzen to ID players in MD, DE and NJ and play on the DelMarVa Canes.

Mark Helsel will handle PA and NY, bringing over many of his Norcal East kids to become the Mid-Atlantic Canes.

We are excited about the expansion and the amount of talent on our teams. We have 9 2012's verballed and many more with offers. This summer should be exciting.

Not really. Those teams were a mix of 2011 & 2012 kids. They now have 1 2012 team, which will be very strong.

Interesting move. I'm not sure what Dan Gitzen brings to the table that makes a pretty strong group stronger.

Dan Gitzen will bring a lot to the table. He is one of the best recruiters in the business, and now with him going out selling the Canes, and working along side Jamie Evans, and Jeff Petty that makes for a dangerous combination. JMO..
