Hopefully, I won't sound rambling nor as I'm preaching to anyone. I simply want to share some thoughts that have been on my mind this week and brought home tonight through some conversations.
When we read posts here, sometimes it's difficult to remember that every single person here has a "real" life. Some posters may be smarter than they write, others may be nicer than they write, some may be richer than we would think.... However, one thing is guaranteed - they all have challenges in their lives that most of us aren't aware of. I know posters here who are battling illnesses, financial worries, deaths, surgeries, disappointments and losses of many kinds. I certainly don't know more people than the average poster. To me, that is a reminder that we're all "real". To me, that is a reminder that perhaps someone may need a PM sharing some compassion. To me, this is a reminder that our HSBBW family can mean as much to us as a "real"life friend.
I guess tonight, I've just been reminded that outside of baseball and in spite of steroid charges, there are many more important things in all of our lives. Sometimes I forget to put things into perspective. Tonight, I was reminded by a wonderful fellow poster.
May all of you have an abundance of blessings in the upcoming year. May we also have an abundance of compassion during that off season here on the HSBBW.
Thanks for letting me share these thoughts and hope it makes sense to a few.
BTW, I'm one of the posters that's smarter than she writes!
