Comments are mean to hysterical. I think a fair amount of criticism should go to Jeff Trout's "flips", to be fair I also apply his post flip "technique"
I saw this this morning. Great stuff. There were definitely some hitting gurus who didn't get the joke and critiqued "the kids" swing...."Aim for the L screen" was one of them. It looks like a bunch of people have now deleted their responses.
Trout is obviously the greatest but his dad's toss technique is not great and quite dangerous, stay behind the screen and only stick the arm out to the side
My first thought was most HS coaches I know would say quit swinging for the fence. Launch Angle does not work. Just hit for average. At our HS practice, most of those balls would not make it out of the turtle because our coaches push it so far forward that a good HR hits the top every time.

I think it's kind of great that the man who sired and raised Mike Trout can't use an L screen properly. That was my takeaway from the vid. Everyone makes mistakes, even the father of a baseball god.
