I've got to go with "Tale of Two Cities" for the best I ever read, but a very good book about Cape baseball, and I hope the "refreshments" aren't quite as strong in the Valley League this summer.
I actually have in fact just got done reading both of those books at the exact same time, Tale of Two Citites was a reading assignment givin in school which I didn't care to much for I personally thought Last Best League is a terrific book that is excellently plotted, by far better in my opinion
Dickens is appreciated more as you get older. I didn't enjoy it much in college when I had to read it for school years ago. I love baseball books and read them all the time, but some of Dickens stuff is so good it gives me goosebumps. My wife and kids say that's just sick.
