Just released new book about the Cape Cod League and the 2002 Chatham A's. Tries to get inside a collegiate wood bat summer team and tell the story from both the team and players' perspective as well as from the perspective of those facing the pressures of being a high draft choice contrasted with those with the pressure of trying to get a chance to be drafted. Implication of the title is that high quality wood bat leagues like the Cape show so many players who have been stars at every level from little league to college that this is the "last" league where they will play baseball.
Entertaing, fast reading with some good insights. If you hope your son will play summer collegiate baseball, this book provides interesting insights on what to expect and the pressures, rewards and disappointments to be considered.

'You don't have to be a great player to play in the major leagues, you've got to be a good one every day.'
