the new exo bat

I hear its the same as the Dynasty, only its even stiffer.

I am not sure if you can get alot of help here just because it probably hasnt been used alot yet.

just figured this was the best place to ask if anyone has used it.

My '09 son has used it in the cage on two occassions of about 30 minutes each. He likes it much better than bats with the flex handle. For guys with good swing speed, maybe there is something to having a stiffer handle.

I always thought the flex bats were for players with good bat speed....I think of it like a tennis racket with a flex giving an extra pop off the bat.

from what I understand the bat is amazing. spoke to a local rep who has seen it tested at some local high schools.(forgetting all the besr testing and whatever the heck it all means) says the ball just jumps off the bat. in the local tests, HS kids who had never put one out were knocking 'em over the fences.

The bat has carbon fiber i believe throughout the handle for added stiffness.

As far as the stiff vs. flex, my understanding is Louisville is a big proponent of the stiff "theory". What i've typcially heard is if you have the power and generate good bat speed on your own, the flex will hurt you and that there's a certain give to it that outweighs any positive "whip" effect you might get. The whip supposedly helps the hitter that doesn't generate enough bat speed on their own

My son has tried both the Easton "stiff" and "flex" and prefers the stiff, but as far as games has always used Louisville anyway (typically the various Omaha generations).
