My son pitched against them at Jupiter last Sept. As a member of the Knoxville Yard,the game ended tied. They were a class team with pretty darn good talent...I haven't seen my son this summer except on video....drivin me crazy...

my son is playing for the warhawks. Slush is a good guy. the kids show a lot of respect, and seem to get along real well. my son just got here Wednesday (late end of school) and has fit right in. hopefully we'll have a double header today (weather permitting). son is having a good time so far. the facilities at the "nest" are excellent. the back yard has a batting cage and a mound setup for three pitchers. i'll know more about level of play after today.

My son is a pitcher. Unfortunately i will not be following the team for the rest of the summer. I need to get back for work. i may go to Ft. Myers July 19 for their last tournement. Son's mom will be in Memphis.

Today Dan was warming up to start the game and it started raining. We got about 5 inches in 1/2 hr. Needless to say no games today. Here 3 days, did not see a game. Can't win against the weather. i go home tomorrow, and the team heads to Memphis.

I saw your son pitch today! He actually came to our house on Monday when the team arrived in Memphis. He and my son Stephen have become fast friends! Small world, isn't it?

Unfortunately, the game didn't go our way. Dan pitched 4 innings. Another pitcher came in in the bottom of the 5th, and faced 2 batters. Then my son finished that inning, and pitched the whole 6th, which is where the Angels tied the score. Another pitcher finished out the game, losing 7-6. Hopefully the game this evening will turn out better. Will let you know!

BTW, you have a fine son - he was very much a gentleman - I enjoyed meeting him!

Thanks for the kind words about Dan. He does seem to be enjoying his team mates and playing with the team. Dan's mom is flying to Memphis this morning. She should be there for the game. She would like to meet you. Put some faces to names. They should be wearing their Warhawks t-shirts.

I just made my flight reservations for Fort Myers. i'll be going down July 19.

Thanks. After seeing the setup they have in Ohio for these kids, and the passion the coaches have for the game, and teaching the game, i can't imagine these boys having anything but a great summer.
