I always get inspired when I watch the Olympics.

Summer or winter.

So - today - after watching some downhill - I went in the backyard - and made believe I was doing slalom skiing - just running around some poles.

After I was finished - I staggered back into the house - and then I vomited.

Then I took a nap.

So much for inspiration.

Pass me a Corona and a lime - and good luck to all our Olympic athletes!

You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. ~Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970

From an Olympic standpoint this is true. But these athletes also compete on the World Cup circuit all season, every year. While the casual fan only knows them from the Olympics, all the Olympic skiers are well known by skiing fans. They all do very well financially. The Olympics are the Big Kahuna of publicity and endorsement possibilities.

Must be nice for you guys on the east coast. We won't get to see any of the things your talking about until about 3 hours after you get to see them.

I see the problem now, we are on the west coast and the events are on the -------------west coast, makes sense to me.

We get to see them about 8-10 hours after they happen. I guess we are to to far away from the events.

GOOD JOB NBC!!!
