Summary: Many parents are clueless on how small most athletic scholarships are. Many athletes had no idea how hard they would work at their sport in college.

I have read some of those articles. I agree with Miles Brand, concentrate of academics, you can get more $$ through academics than athletics. Paretns and player don't realize this.
I like the term, tryout scholarships, that's just what a lot of coaches have done throughour the years.
