Our number one goal is to recognize talent.  We support the Series because it will help us know about more players.  It will also give us more information about those players we already know of and those we have never seen.  It will increase our database which is already the largest player database in amateur baseball.

PG holds many events, but we know timing and cost are obstacles for many young players all over the country.  We don't want to miss any talented young player.  PG isn't deeply involved in developing talent, The Series is much more geared towards giving players information that will help them develop their skills.  At the same time The Series will hold events everywhere in the country and those events will be very affordable for most everyone. We will also use The Series to invite those players that exhibit talent.

We do plan to do profiles on every player using information gathered at The Series events.  Obviously we have a close relationship with many of the people involved. As close as it gets, in some cases.  More importantly, many of the very best and most respected people in amateur baseball from coast to coast are involved in The Series. We feel we can completely trust the information they compile on every player.

So that said, we (PG) support The Series and are happy to partner with those involved.  We really don't see it as competition, we see it as another way to create opportunities for many young players. Our database is the most important thing we own, and this will increase it by a large amount. In the end, it will help many players while it also will help those involved in college recruiting and professional scouting.
