That young man is my hero - what a story

Sort of difficult reading with all the blinking and such. Tough kid.

I think I caught what Dad04 has. Wow. What a story, what a kid. What maturity in EVERYTHING he said, including this:

"Why can't people just see the best in things? It gets you so much further in life. It's always negative this and negative that. That's all you see and hear."

God bless him and his family. God has already blessed those who know him. Wow.

My coach sensed that some of the guys on the team were losing respect for the game and he actually had us read this story yesterday. Although I don't think my love for the game ever really diminshed during this year, or ever, this certainly gave me a whole new appreciation for the greatest game God ever created. John Challis is the true definition of a hero and I thank him for everything.

WOW....That's quite a story.

For an 18 yr old knowing the end was near, he was quite a remarkable young man.
