The Truth About Verbal Commitments

Thanks for sharing..   Very good article for those just getting started in the process and hoping to understand how verbal committments work.  At one point, everybody was new to college baseball recruiting  and asking these questions.   

The following statement summed it up best for me as I look back at my son's experience:  "Verbal commitments are an important part of the process, but they are more symbolic than practical."  It was very symbolic but really put a stake in the ground.  It was a meeting of the minds between Coach and recruit.  It was... if you do this then I'll do that....  From that moment in time everything moved very, very quickly.
