What skills do a Marcus Giles, Fernando Vina, Bo Hart, Ray Durham and etc. that thousands of other kids around the world do not ?
I see kids everyday that are bigger, stronger arms, some faster, as much range, and some hit with more power...of course not MLB pitching.
Soriano Alfonzo is not that great of a 2b...is it hitting ability or what?

The reason I ask is, I know a kid that falls into this catagory.
His tools will not jump off paper at you, but he does everything right and plays the game the way it should be played.
His biggest plus is his hitting ability
He hits everything, drives the ball to gaps and runs the bases like Ty Cobb(w/o the spikes)
He's not my kid so how do you get MLB to notice this kid ?

There are thousands of kids with the same tools out there--The difference is the intangibles. Leadership, maturity, ability to remain on an even keel, past history of 'sticking with the program', desire, family and community background, etc. The game of life is just as important as the game of baseball when all other things are equal. Ultimately this is what makes or breaks the prospect.
