UPDATE FROM THE DOGPOUND: Feb 17, 2007 Well, here it is. The report several of you have been anxiously awaiting, which is an update from today's workout, that I myself participated in and attained some very good videoclips of CHRIS TURNER hitting and throwing as well as 2007 diamond in the rough all area football player named ANTHONY LANGSTON, who also did everything extremely well! I do mean, extremely well!! He is flying under the radar, but not for long after today. He jumped a thousand places today in the scouts eyes present, which included execs who were also present for workout. ANTHONY LANGSTON, remember that name. Langston has "Major League tools" and "CAN" hit with wood as demonstrated today, as well as CHRIS TURNER who mashed with the wood, ran like a world class sprinter and threw cannon-like throws from the RF corner to 3rd base that I have on videotape.

Both of these prospects will also steal bases and can lead-off and play centerfield. No corner guys in TURNER or LANGSTON. Both players demonstrated five-tools and grade off the chart! Turner gets an 81 on a 20-80 scale. Langston not far behind in our reports at all. A very close second with the 6.3 edging out the 6.6 in running yesterday. Langston has a cannon arm!!!

Oh but hang on fellas There was also a 2007 catcher today who plays for Reggie's team who we call King Kong, and after the pop to pop times and showing with his bat today, would like to introduce him to ya'll now. He has a good catchers last name, Rodriguez."JAMES RODRIGUEZ" There are also a stable full of underclass prospects unlike anything I've ever seen in one place other than maybe PG's largest events! It was simply amazing to see so many players with major league tools on one field like the one's Reggie Williams preasented to us today.

Chris Turner ran a 6.3 60 yard dash in front of top Major League baseball personnel. He also hit like Manny Ramirez, threw like Raul Mondesi, just like I said last summer. He is about to sky rocket as mentioned in PG Cross-Checker rankings. Look for Anthony Langston to also come out of nowhere in the rankings from Middleton HS here in Tampa area.

The two stop watches were very reliable which included a major league exec and my own. One of my all-time heroes who I idolized and looked up to as a role model for many years from a distance was on the other stopwatch. These were all experienced scouts present today who were there to see talent but figured out they were there for a even bigger purpose as you will read later in this post.

What an honor to be involved in such a worthwhile endeavor and actually witness fruit from my labor with my own two eyes as a small piece of the puzzle in the bigger scheme of things. I am typing this message in a business center in Tampa and must say that Reggie Williams has a list of top prospects on one team that includes many draft eligible players and all deserve a shot to be seen and evaluated by the baseball establishment. Many reps were here today and couldn't believe their eyes. Regggie Williams is doing a fantastic job here with these inner city kids he has with 91 players in all that certainly deserve considerations for grants and other support from Major League baseball and our government. There "ARE" minorities playing baseball in Tampa Bay regardless of what you have heard, every ballpark within a 30 mile radius was full of teams and players from the Gulf of Mexico back to the far east side of Tampa Bay! In my opinion, based on my observations, some of these leagues qualify for Urban League money for Inner-city needs. I know because I have been in a great deal of these parks in the past two days. It will be good for the Tampa Bay area here, and most importantly, will change lives that would not otherwise, be afforded the opportunity here in the Tampa Bay area. A mission that I am thankful to be a part of that will benefit all. Reggie is very excited about these players and looks forward to raising the necessary funds to do great things including taking a team to Jupiter next time around. Come see for yourselves! You will not believe your eyes! peace Shep
